Visualizing a Life Without Debt.

IH8 DEBTCheck that out: IH8 DEBT. Hah! That belongs to my boy Brad from Enemy of Debt and just goes to show how passionate he is about spreading the good word.

And if that's not refreshing enough, just read any of his posts - that guy puts his entire heart and soul into this stuff! So today, I pimp him out to you all ;)

We may disagree on leveraging our credit cards to our benefit, but he's got a firm grasp on what he wants in life and how to acheive it. And one of the ways he does this is by visualizing. In particularly, visualizing a life without debt! It may sound hokey, but it's certainly working for him. And he's now working to convet me as well - check out his latest email to me, freakin' brilliant:
Working subliminally on J's future thoughts --> Breath deep, & clear your mind...Now picture yourself on a tropical island, sipping on your favorite drink. Picture you and your wife on a spontaneous vacation debt free with no payment in the world!

With no debt you have funded this 7 day vacation at the last minute with your last paycheck, after all you are Jay Money who is making BANK now! You are relaxed because you have no financial concerns because EVERYTHING is paid for. Knowing this you decided to have your next 4 paychecks directly deposited into your chosen investments, with the fifth one going to your favorite charities. Compound interest is your bee-otch and is now working harder than you are. Your earnings from Budgets Are Sexy are covering utilities, fun, and other expenses. Playa play on!

At the end of your vacation you pull your paid for car into your paid for garage, and walk into your paid for house. Now you and your wife decide to go chill with some drinks and have a relaxing swim in your paid for pool. Ahhh...complete freedom from ALL debt, even good debt, has more options after all. Now you consider calling Brad from Enemy of Debt, to thank him for being so damn cool! LIFE IS GOOD! VISUALIZE!
I like it! I want in! haha...I sincerely thank him for allowing me to post this up. It's people like him who get us energized and really INTO this finance stuff. Straight up how-to blogs have their part in the online world, but it's that extra "it" factor that really draws you in and gets you to actually act on it. So keep doing good things over there Brad, I'm proud to call you my friend! *end man love*

Wow, I am sitting here visualizing it myself! Nice post! I haven't been debt free since high school, but I have never been drowning in debt either. I can only imagine how it would feel though and how fast you could accumulate wealth!

So Ya I want in as well! Nice motivation Brad! Keep up the good fight!

Wow, nice job J, and thank you for the compliments as well!! It's the way you can put a post together like this that makes you a PF pimp! I love it dude and am honored that you would choose to say such nice things about me, as well as Enemy of Debt!

Thank you J! I too sir, am glad to have met the one, the only, Jay Money! I like your style my friend, and we will have to get together again in the future to celebrate the debt free world that we both envision together by having a brew or two, or three. You rock man!

You two share some great energy between eachother. And that is an awesome visualization. My day is brighter due to it. :)

So, why is it 99% of the people keep shuffling the other way? Maybe media is the devil. You get sucked in and spend, create debt. Hmmm...

@Atlas - Thank you very much, and that visualization can be you too as well as anyone else that wants it. It's good to know that you are not drowning in debt as well. The thing about it that makes me so excited, is that when you have no debt the opportunity to grow your wealth can happen much faster. Your income becomes a tool to do so as oppose to making the normal monthly debt payments. A lot of people do not realize that. Good luck reaching for your dreams of debt freedom! ;)

@444 - Haha! I know what you mean! It is probably by far my favorite car ever. I have had to think about selling it though sincde we are adding another enemy of debt to our family. It's only a two seater, but I may keep it and just buy another cash car with more seats. We'll definitely need more than our Volvo.

@Money Funk - I am so glad Jay liked that visualization enough to post it. I am glad that it brightened your day as well. One thing is for sure, visualization makes things happen. What you can see, you can believe, and what you believe you can achieve!

As far as your question, I plan to write a blog to answer those questions. If I had to choose one thing right now though I would say that it is due to marketing experts that have figured out how to get people to visualize their need for something. Quite the opposite of the visualization above. They can convince people to live for today because they deserve it. I think people deserve financial peace but they have been tricked!

Brad is one of my favorite people and Enemy of Debt is a site I enjoy and so do many of my friends and family. He gives good advice about staying out of debt, living below your means so that you can experience financial freedom and really enjoy your life. Living responsibly is not only is own reward, but it is a great way to help our country get back on the right track. My husband and I are debt-free except for our mortgage and we are paying extra on it every month to get it paid off as soon as possible. At the same time we have increased our giving, our retirement savings, and our FUN!!! It is a great place to be!!! Come join us!! Thanks Brad, for getting the message out to everyone who will listen!!!

Awwww....shucks! Golda you are so nice! Debt freedom will soon be ours as well. Just got to get rid of those pesky student loans that seem to hang around like the plague. I am working on our new game plan to attack what's remaining, and my income should be increasing in the next month. Persistence, Perseverance, and Purpose! I have learned that as long as you keep trying, no matter how many times you meet resistance, you will eventually meet your goals! Thanks again Golda!

I agree JT! I love wipers in the back! As far as walking the walk I have to admit that it was a hard decision to reach when it came to letting go of the 2004 Pontiac Vibe we had at the time, but as soon as I climbed behind the wheel and drove it, I knew it didn't matter anymore. The Vibe was a great car for us, but the CRX is a classic, AND it drives better with no payment. LOL

Persistence, Perseverance, and Purpose! love it.
