Weekly Roundup: Interviews, Financial Moves, & Eminem
Favorite articles this week:
- Scratch-off lottery games WILL eat your lunch @ Mighty Bargain Hunter - A great analysis of my $100 scratch off project! Much better at mathematics than myself ;)
- Contemplating a Big Financial Move @ Fabulous Financials - Keep $50k in the bank, or use it to pay down your 2nd mortgage? Financially one makes more sense than the other, but you always have to keep the emotions in mind too. I'd probably keep it in the bank, but read on to see what she's thinking.
- The 7 Harsh Realities of Starting a Business @ Quick Sprout - A must read if you're considering starting up your own joint. The more I got through it, the more I was perfectly content with my full-time gig ;) Working for yourself is still exciting though!
- How to Answer the 10 Most Common Interview Questions @ Bargaineering - I usually skip over these types of reads (kinda boring to me) but the nuggets of knowledge here really CAN help you! If you're fresh out of college and/or starting the interview process again, at least skim over this - one wrong answer could shut the door on ya.
- The Eminem Guide to Becoming a Writing and Marketing Machine @ Copyblogger - Not at all related to finance, but a really REALLY cool article if you're a blogger or writer. You don't even have to like Eminem to enjoy it! Just an overall creative article in my opinion.
Carnivals I participated in:
- Money Hacks Carnival - "Thanksgiving Dinner" ed. hosted by Being Frugal.
- Best Of Money Carnival #26 - hosted by The Corporate Barbarian.
- Carnival of Money Stories - "Great Questions" ed. hosted by Mighty Bargain Hunter.
- Carnival of Personal Finance - "Thanksgiving Survival" ed. hosted by Fiscal Geek.
