State Farm Giveaway: GPS & Road Safety Kit!

state farm insurance iq test
There has been no shortage of giveaways lately, but this one is totally AWESOME! Random, but awesome ;)  I gotta keep my peeps happy, right?  And nothing says I Love You like a box of FREE stuff – haha…. especially stuff that can potentially save your life one day.  So listen up!

We’re partnering with State Farm today to let people know it’s important to be prepared when on the road.  A lot of us don’t really think we’ll ever get in serious trouble (like me – I always think I’m an exception to the rule! haha…), but it’s better to be prepared just in case.  So if you don’t win today’s giveaway, at least pay attention to what’s contained in these Roadside kits. You don’t need a lot of money to keep some of this stuff in your trunk!  Just add it to your list the next time you hit up Wal-Mart or Target and see if u can do it for $20-$30.  Or better yet, see if they have their own kit.

Okay?  Good.  Now here’s what we’re giving away today :)

1 Roadside Emergency Safety Kit, which includes:

  • Garmin Nuvi 1300 4.3″ GPS Navigator
  • State Farm-Branded Roadside Emergency Kit – Includes: 12 ft, heavy duty jumper cables, 300psi air compressor with accessories, 12 ft nylon tow strap, flashlight with batteries, 2-in-1 screwdriver, slip joint pliers, industrial cutter, and work gloves, all in a rugged carrying case with reflective taping and handle.

Want it? I think you should – I use mine every day! (The GPS that is, hoping to never need the emergency kit ;)). All you have to do to enter is this:

  1. Take the 6-question Auto Insurance IQ test: Insurance IQ Test
  2. Come back here and leave a comment with your answer.

That’s it!  We’ll pick the winner this Sunday, Jan 23rd, via Random.org, and one of you will be all safety’d out. Nice & easy.  And extra brownie points for those who beat me ;)  Although I’d be a bit afraid if you don’t.  I only got 2 of the 6 questions right!!!  Dang.  I won’t be blogging at InsuranceIsSexy.com anytime soon, haha… good luck y’all!

*GIVEAWAY OVER* Congrats to Miss Molls!!! Hope you enjoy this :) Stay tuned for another giveaway soon, friends. Thanks for participating!

  15. Diane January 18, 2011 at 9:28 AM

50%. Surprised Caddilacs are stolen more than Camry’s. Round where I live I don’t think we even have Cadillacs. Everyone has Priuses (Priii?), old Volvos or art cars.

  16. Jessi W. January 18, 2011 at 9:33 AM

My auto insurance IQ is 83, not horrible, but I did guess on a few of them!

  17. Brandi January 18, 2011 at 9:33 AM

My IQ was 83…not too shabby considering I have been through 7 cars already in my short lifetime!!!

  18. Sarah January 18, 2011 at 9:33 AM

Only 50%! However, I’m not sure how knowing the percentage of teens whose parents teach them to drive reflects my knowledge of auto insurance.

  19. Steph January 18, 2011 at 9:35 AM

50% … Better luck next time. Although I’m shocked at one answer.

  20. gharkness January 18, 2011 at 9:35 AM

I’m with Sarah! Only 50%, but I’m not 100% sure of the application of this information. Looks like safety would be the first consideration.

  21. Miss Molls January 18, 2011 at 9:37 AM

Your Auto Insurance IQ is 33

Apparently I need to brush up on my Insurance info!

  22. Ryan@TheFinancialStudent January 18, 2011 at 9:37 AM

IQ is 50. For the record, I did pass my driving school test with a 95%, but that was also 3 years ago so maybe I should have my keys taken away.

  23. Josh January 18, 2011 at 9:45 AM

Looks like we’re in the same boat. I got a whopping 2/6 right. I definitely need to brush up on my info. And similar to the last poster, I actually got a perfect score on my road test back in the day, so hopefully I’m not viewed as a total doofus.

  24. Trinnie S January 18, 2011 at 9:49 AM

Your Auto Insurance IQ is 100. Yeah it should be that! :)

  67. Steeb January 18, 2011 at 12:43 PM

83% – it was missing an answer –> most popular car for thieves = whatever I happen to own, had my vehicle stolen twice and attempted two other times.

  75. Ryan January 18, 2011 at 1:12 PM

Your Auto Insurance IQ is 33, bummer 2 right. I thought Camry’s were stolen more than Escalades because of the parts trade in Mexico.

    I got a 66 on the quiz!

Hubby & I have insurance through State Farm and they have been great! A DUI driver totaled hubby’s 2002 Tundra Dec 5, she fought the ticket with the City, lost, and now we are going after her insurance (Progressive) for damages.

Anyways, I would love to have this prize in my trunk!

  144. C Ann January 18, 2011 at 8:48 PM

  150. Sarah January 18, 2011 at 10:49 PM

I got a 50% (3/6). I’m almost 30 and have no teens in my household, so I feel a little better knowing that 2 of the 3 questions I got wrong were on teen driving…since I have no teens around, how could I know? :-P

  151. Liz T January 18, 2011 at 10:49 PM

Your Auto Insurance IQ is 83

This was interesting and I definitely learned something. It is helpful to know the little things that affect insurance premiums. Too many people just pay blindly without considering what kind of coverage they have and what they may be missing! Educating yourself on insurance choices and policy conditions is an important step in being financially responsible and savvy.

But I hope I win the Garmin!

  183. Jo January 20, 2011 at 12:21 PM

50%, Yikes!!! Looks like I am not alone. I would have thought more than 56% of teenagers go to their parents to learn how to drive.

  184. Jill January 20, 2011 at 12:26 PM

I need to go back to school, too! Only 50% for me. My daughter will start drivers ed next month. Maybe I need to go to school with her….

  185. Maria January 20, 2011 at 12:49 PM

My insurance IQ is 66%. Not bad. Couldn’t find where to look up the actual answers to know which I had right or wrong.

  186. Brianna January 20, 2011 at 3:00 PM

I was shocked to get only 33%! I thought I at least had the theft one right. Hot damn, who knew?

  188. Nate R January 20, 2011 at 4:30 PM

Your Auto Insurance IQ is 50

Escalades!?!?! I’m shocked! And really, only 56% of teens rely on parents to teach them to trive/ Who the hell is teaching them then? Scary!

  197. Jennifer M January 21, 2011 at 7:52 PM

I only got 2 out of 6. With a 15 year old in the house who will be getting ready to drive soon, I have to wonder who else would be teaching him to drive. Grandparents maybe?

  198. Jenna January 21, 2011 at 9:51 PM

    50% Big ‘ol fail. :(

But glad I don’t have an Escalade!

  199. Danielle January 22, 2011 at 7:15 PM

    My score was 66. Whoo-hoo!

  200. Liz M. January 22, 2011 at 11:39 PM

I got three out of six right! In my defense, I did know what a deductible and no-fault insurance meant! Surprised so many teens rely on their parents–we did most of our pre-licensed driving in Driver Ed through the high schools!
