Weekly Roundup: Costumes, Bills and Wedding Gifts

by J. Money on Friday, October 21, 2011

That time of the week, friends!  Gotta share the love before we jump into the weekend and relax all our worries away ;)  Hope you guys had a great week and things are on the up and up!  Hard for me to complain over here, as I type away in my comfy pajamas ;)  Keep on rockin’ it, guys.

New blogs I’m reading:

  1. Jesse.Anne.O  (Fashiony & fun!)
  2. Positively Positive (Two of my friends launched this after getting 1 MILLION fans on Facebook, and they continue showcasing *only* uplifting and motivational stuff – nothing negative! And even cooler, the contributors are a mix of regular people like you and me, all the way up to celebs :)  Awesome stuff… everyone coming together to spread the positive word.)

Interesting articles from the week:

  1. Inspiring Story of Surviving Rock Bottom @ Soldier of Finance
  2. Interview with J$, Blogger Extraordinaire (Hah!) @ Moneylicious
  3. Ten Ways To Save On Your Electric Bill This Winter @ Money Q&A
  4. Can you be too old to register for wedding gifts? @ Clever Dude
  5. 9 Halloween Costumes to Make on the Cheap @ Savvy Sugar
  6. Credit Card Users Anonymous @ Dinks Finance

Thanks for the links, J. Money. Just in case you guys want some more options for last-minute Halloween costume ideas on the cheap, here’s a link to our post on just that: http://www.mangomoney.com/blog/cheap-fun/homemade-halloween-costumes Two words: “Static electricity.” You can be static electricity for Halloween! Am I the only one who is incredibly amused by this? Anyway, check it out.
