Good mornin’, good mornin’! Have some pimpin’ freebies to give away to y’all today, courtesy of my boy Clark Howard who literally *just* released his new finance book today – Clark Howard’s Living Large for the Long Haul. (Why am I acting as if we’re friends? I’ve never spoken with him before, nor read any of his stuff, haha… But I do hear he’s pretty good with money!)

Here’s a quick bio on him for those in the dark: Clark Howard is a nationally syndicated consumer expert who advises consumers how to save more, spend less and avoid getting ripped off. His radio show is heard every day on more than 200 radio stations throughout North America. He is also co-host of HLN’s nightly news program Evening Express with CNN’s Ryan Smith.

I want this book because I love getting free stuff, although I rarely win anything. Another reason, a better reason, I want this book is to see how Clark Howard compares to some of the other big name money gurus like Dave Ramsey or Susan Orman.

I want the book because I’ve been listening to howard on and off for many years. A wise aunt tuned into his show when i was in 6th grade and made me listen to some of his travel advice. Some of which has stuck with me. I hope that by reading the book his advice will sink in more and we can get on the path of early retirement

I would love to win this book to share with our four oldest daughters. They are all experiencing issues with finances in one form or another. The most difficult is our daughter who has our 2 year old grandson. After a failed first marriage, she now has a wonderful man standing beside her and their son. However, even with all the attempts he has made, he is not able to find a job to replace the one he recently lost They have had to move back into his mother’s, but one thing always leads to another. She is now signed up to go back to school online to obtain an accounting certificate. We have done several things to help them, but they need to be able to see what to do to help get themselves to a place where they would be able to open a checking account (bank won’t take them right now), have credit cards for emergencies (and pay them off!), even get a loan to buy a car!!! Her mother makes over $90K a year and can’t borrow money because her credit’s so bad. I want all the girls to break that bad cycle and move forward as their dad and I have.

I would like to win this book because I recently became a single parent with the passing of my husband last December. He was only 35!
I have two kids, ages 3 and 5.
Since his passing I have been trying really hard to get my finances in order. Luckly we had mortgage insurance but there was no life insurance and I was left with a big chunk of consumer debt. My goal is to be debt free in five years.
I have been reading blogs (this one being one of my favourites), and books to help keep me on track.
I would love to have this book to help me on my journey.

I love non-fiction books and especially ones that help me with financial tricks and hints. I love reading stories of others who overcame their challenges and their result. At the same time, my girlfriend is the one who really needs the book because of her lack of financial focus (until recently) and her amount of debt. One great thing going for her is that she has a good job, so helping her manage her finances would be the TRUE reason I would like to have this book.

My wife and I have been married almost a year and we can use some financial counseling. She has debt from student loans and her car and I have a reasonably low mortgage on our house, however, we plan on refinancing to remodel and make our modest home space (800sq. ft.) larger. We’ll have to pull off some basic financial gymnastics to help make this happen. Nevertheless, we could use the help in starting our lives and future family together.

Second, who doesn’t love free stuff, LOL and third, I’d read it and then be able to hand it down to my daddy-o, who is a financial planner and *thee* most awesome man I’ve ever met who has taught me so much wisdom regarding money.

I’d like to win this book to see what kinds of insights Clark has that I haven’t heard of yet. The few times I read, I typically read finance books and currently I don’t have any that haven’t been read, so this would give me one!

I would like this book because we would like to have some type of residual income and do not know much about it and perhaps can learn more from this book, also preparing for retirement. We are debt free.

I want to obtain the book because I have recently started investing. Until a couple of weeks ago, I did not have an online savings account, a Roth IRA, traditional IRA or opened a 401K account with my employer. I follow your blog everyday and have learned a lot of things. In addition, I am helping my family with their finances since my dad and mom filed for bankruptcy and have been struggling to pay their bills every month.
I am 26 years old and have been able to have a debt free life up until now thanks to your blog (no loans, no credit card debt, and my corolla is paid off). I even got the book (from my public library of course) you recommended “I will teach you to be rich” and has helped me assist my family members with their finances since they are getting closer to retirement. I am currently trying to learn more ways to improve our finances because it’s never too late to learn new things when it comes to money. This book will really help me and my family continue learning about the best ways to continue a frugal living.

I have not read a book in a long time! I used to be an avid reader, I just purchased my first smart phone last Saturday, I could use a distraction.

I want this book because I am a huge Clark Howard fan. I listen to the podcast of his radio show during my commute. He makes a lot of sense and tries to give practical help to people and he deals with more than PF he deals with consumer issues.
