All kidding aside though, it really is that easy to save. Though of course if you want to grow it you don’t actually want to put it in a box. Instead, you’d want to throw it in savings or cds or stocks or index funds or against your debt or towards your emergency fund, house down payment, etc, etc, etc. Whatever your main goals are, really.
At the end of the day though, just remember – the trick on how to save is to just take out the “how to!”
In other words, JUST DO IT.

It felt even more ridiculous just singing & filming the whole thing to begin with! I was deathly afraid of my wife or someone walking in on the middle of it all and being like “Wtf??” haha… Trying not to take myself so seriously these days, and this is definitely helping with that :)

Haha, just watched it. Any time I have to put myself on video I feel totally ridiculous, but it’s part of “the biz” for me… and my friends, family, etc have totally walked in on me, mid performance, totally giving it.

All I can say is wow! I never would be able to post a video of me singing online. It was hard enough making my video ecourse…felt so awkward. For what it’s worth, both of our cats were in the room when I hit play. One ran away and the other was fine and just kept listening.

There’s actually a bunch of stuff I wanted to try out w/ it, but was limited to 1 min vid play, and after 2 hours of trying to film it all by myself (you’d be amazed at how many things I had to click/remember/look at to get it in one take!) I just called it a day and locked it in… Anything more than 2 hours (or hell, 2 mins!) just seems like a waste of time, haha…
Yah, filming oneself is always more epic and time-consuming than estimated at the outset. Oh but the things you could add in: cut your own hair? cash in the box! rode your bike? put that cash in the box!
And to somehow incorporate that feather duster they used…

Well that’s really something, isn’t it : ) We did a video too – and it just won an award last week! Though not for $1,000. It’s a response to last year’s campaign by Visa Canada called “smallenfreuden” – the joy of small. Their message was, “Buy every little thing on Visa, and you’ll be happy. Grrrrr . . . I don’t know your stand on credit cards, but you can probably guess mine. We created a 44 second spoof on “smallenfreuden”. It’s called “cuttenfreuden”.
