Things you can’t change.

Things you can’t change:

  • The weather
  • The unemployment rate
  • People who are dumb
  • The stock market

Things you can change:

  • Your spending
  • Your saving
  • Your income
  • Your life
  • Your happiness

The end.

I keep telling myself this. Our cat got out, and we’re trying our best, but we’re pretty bummed out about it.

Found him last night. A neighbor saw the flyers I posted. Dumbass cat was more excited about catnip than anything else. I don’t think he learned a lesson…

I constantly have to remind myself about the “happiness” point. It’s too easy to let other people cripple your mood.

Very true! Often times people complain or focus on the things they can’t change, and I’d like to add “other people in general” to the list of things you can’t change. They run around in circles trying to fix things they can’t and it’s a waste of energy!

The things that we want are all inside of us. We just have to DELIBERATELY search for them.

This is why I try to limit my news intake as much as I can and still have a basic gist what’s goin’ on. The news doesn’t tell me how I can make the world a better place. It just tells me what I cannot change. The only thing I can’t change that I need to know is the weather because I need to know how many layers to put on for the bike commute.

Yes. I try to limit my news as much as I avoid rashes. Rarely come away feeling better about myself!

So for changing the weather you are making a bold statement that Storm from X-Men is not real, I’m not sure how I feel about that.

Great lists! Most often than not, people forget that happiness is a choice and that they can do something about it. There are times when we feel stuck and unhappy, but we can always move forward and change it. Life is the decisions you make, too. Better focus on things you can change rather than feeling stressed out with the number of dumb people around you.
