All of the books sound great but there’s just one problem – they’re in paper form!

As many aspiring early retirees also have a minimalist streak (like me) they may not want a paper copy of a book. I promise I’ll put in a serious pitch for your books when you start offering electronic versions though!

Just read the book and pass it on. As long as it goes from your mailbox, to your nightstand, to a friend…you don’t have to worry about it taking space on a shelf.

Hey J! I’m still chugging along with digit but id like to keep growing my stash and could do some research with either the Tony Robbins book or the $1000 money challenge. Its hard to not be impressed with Tonys rise from poverty to where he today, so Id be willing to read about his tactics.

As for the $1000 money challenge, that reason is easy…I’d love to see if I could slash my bills even more. Considering I always try to double check bills to get the lowest price, it’d be fun to see if I could get them down even further!

    Hope all is well :)

I would like this book because I hope it will open up my mind to a new way to think about making money, I am definitely the free spirit and entrepreneur and once I find something I believe in I can sell it for sure! I just have yet to find the product that changes lives for the better and is a viable money maker (but I am slowly starting to think this personal finance game is a huge game changer, but is the market already too saturated?) Honestly I would like to work for Dave Ramsey and help make a change!

Unfortunately the library doesn’t have it either, and I don’t have time to hang out at Barnes and Noble for hours hiding from the employees while reading the book, so I’m stuck.

I want to win the I’m Debt Free game!! As much as my husband and I enjoy board games, this is something we could do with our kids. The older two (9 & 10) attend our “budget meetings” with us and know the basics of how YNAB works but I’d like to have an excuse to have fun while shoving money lessons into their tiny little brains! (Plus it looks like a great way to start conversations about investing and mutual funds, which I’ve been looking for an “in” to talk about for a while now!!)

#2 Suze Orman!!!! Suze is my homegirl (in my head)! I love hearing her speak on PBS when she’s promoting her material. Her style is great – tough love, straight to the point, and easy to understand (I wish I could bold and underline that last part). I think I’m most intimidated by getting my finances in order because I feel like some concepts are over my head, and she seems to cut through all that and give great advice for everyday people with little knowledge or background in finance. I’m kind of my mess right now and still finding my way. I would love that one!

I’m pretty shocked more people didn’t choose The Millionaire Mind last week – I found it to be one of the most influential books I have read in recent memory. Thanks for the great giveaway!

    B) I would have to say the Tony Robbins Mastering Money as I own the Suze and Jean ones. As a single mum who is paying for the last year of my daughter’s college, and her wedding in 4 months, I could use all the help I can get in setting MYSELF up for my LFA degree…(“LIFE AFTERCHILD”) Never had just me to look after and so never have actually done it, just starting at 48 to save for ANYTHING much less retirement so I think this is brill you’re doing this!

I have spent the last 2 years reading blogs about personal finance. We have a pretty good grasp on our finances but not a longer term plan at the moment. We don’t have a high income especially for our cost of living so a book geared toward all incomes would be fantastic. Also I am sure despite all my blog reading I still hold things in my head that are not true.

“I’m debt free” sounds like a great teaching tool to add for teaching my daughter about money. It is sometimes a struggle and I can see the effect that societies consumerist ideals are working her like a punching bag. Parents need all the help they can get to teach kids the purpose and value that money brings to life. Also, why isn’t your nose 12 inches? Cuz then it’d be a foot!

I’ve checked out T.Robbins’ MONEY several times from the library in ebook format but can’t seem to finish it… I think the paper form (library’s copy is currently checked out) will help me finally make it through front to back, but I don’t want to spend $20+ for it. I’m not too into books, (unless they have pics of hot young women!), so how about a joke instead?

This is a three part elephant joke.

    Part 1
Q: What is the similarity between an elephant and a plum?
A: They’re both purple …… except for the elephant.

    Part 2
Q: What did Tarzan say when the elephants came down the path?
    A: Here come the elephants.

Part 3 (this is the funny part!)
Q: What did Jane say when the elephants came down the path?
A: Here come the plums. (Jane was colorblind!)
