I almost felt the need to clarify it’s a real gold coin and not a Bitcoin… But the value confirms it’s a physical gold coin!

HAH! You just made me go back and edit the post a little to clarify it’s solid gold and NOT a Bitcoin :) I wouldn’t have ever thought that but I bet others could, so thanks!

I am a big fan of Apmex. I have use them before to get some ASEs. So I really like those there. They also have a pretty solid selection of classic (pre-1920) gold coins and a solid collection of Morgan Silver Dollars too, including the sweet Carson City ones.

I bought a 1/4oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf off APMEX when gold was at it’s highest about 2 years ago (oops). I was nervous about it just being left at my front door while I was at work but it all worked out fine.

But lets be serious, what I really wanted was a Royal Canadian 1 kg gold bar. I’m not ashamed to admit that I would sleep with it.

Ooh, I like this – even if it isn’t a bitcoin ;) Though gold and bitcoins (at this exact moment in time are worth roughly similar – sooooooo, you could give me 1/10th of bitcoin too :)

I kinda like the gold kangaroo pendant (mostly because I’ve never seen kangaroos make an appearance on gold jewellery before!

Ok… so 1st: THANKS for showing me this site.

I did a search for “FROG” (I collect all things ‘frog’… even a few tattoos) and OMG!!!.. I didn’t think I’d find something, but the Palua 2013 Silver Proof $2 World of Frogs, Australian Green Frog coin came up and it’s a MUST HAVE.

    Thanks!

I’m in! 1 oz APMEX 2014 Eagle Eye Silver Round .999 Fine.

I used to buy American Eagle Silver dollars. Back when they were $6 each or so. Great stocking stuffers. That 1 oz APMEX Eagle is almost $21! Glad I sold all my silver at $30/oz and gold at $1500/oz. Although that stuff is awesome to hold in your hand. Especially the 1 oz coins. Very substantial.
