So umm… After a quick scare today with our wee one, the doctor feels it’s best we get him outta momma in the morning, even though he wasn’t due until May 11th – yikes.
Right now both mom and baby are fine and healthy, but things can change quickly so please pass over any and all thoughts and prayers if you would. I have so much love for the little guy already and we haven’t even met him yet!
I won’t be paying attention to the blog here for a bit, of course, but I do have a handful of posts scheduled to go out so you’ll see those hit the shelves every other day or so… I think it’s a great time to break our 6 years of daily content record, don’t you agree? :)
Now time to shake off the shock and get our stuff in order…

UPDATE: Baby and mommy are well!!! J. Penny II was born 7 lbs, 3 oz and 19″ long. Cute as a button and as peaceful as can be :) Doctors say it was lucky we got him out when we did too as serious complications were looming – so THANK YOU for all your prayers! They worked!!! (Will update more later, along w/ pics too of course ;) ‘Till then – I’ll be playing daddy)

Thoughts are with you, J! I was born 2 months premature because my mom’s appendix ruptured while I was in her. WTF. Baby and momma will be ok, and so will you! You are such a cool dad, I know it. And holy what? 6 years of daily content? Take a break, hustler.

Sounds similar to what happened with our 9-yr-old. We went in for a routine check about 3-4 weeks before he was due and the doc didn’t like what she was seeing, so they induced labor. It was a little scary for awhile, but everything turned out great. Good luck!

Ack! Def. scary!! We were dealing with Cholestasis… which we never knew about until big bad Google told us and it was actually right! Thank goodness my wife decided to double check with doctors, jeesh.

AWESOME!! im soooooo happy that your family is all healthy and well…sigh…i miss those baby ..days….of course mine are…17…14..12..ALL girls…”I” was the one to talk the hubby into #3 with oh yeah we will TOTALLY have a boy this time around….and the pregnancy was different so i figured eh..we did it..couldn’t even find out the sex during the scan because she kept herself all tight and in a ball….grrr..so i figured BOY..nope..came out GIRL. Anyhoo, glad your back and welcome to the world J Penny!!
