This year my best friend and I are going to have what we’re calling “Conclave 2011”. On Jan 1 & 2 we’re going to hole up in a hotel room and spend an entire day hashing through our goals and to-do lists for the year. Then the following day we’re going to relax and do nothing all day– the only day of the year we get to do no chores, no errands, no NOTHING except read good books and maybe watch TV :-) Two nights at the Hyatt would sure make that more affordable!

To make it a full on vacation, a stop over in New York (where I have free guest rooms available) for a couple of days, then maybe a night in Albany (cause you can do Albany in one night easily), then back down to DC when we’re done.

I promise pictures of poutine for your blog if I win.

I would take my girlfriend to New York for our 1 year. We have went through a very interesting first year starting off the first 6 months being more than 8 hours away from each other. While we were dating there were times we would have to meet up at hotels so this would be a fun way to relive what we had started with. We also have a goal to drink a beer in every state which would knock NY off the list. She grew up in the Chicago area and does not respect the amazingness(yes i made this word up) of NY pizza and I feel she needs educated on it.

Tough question. The romantic in me would say I would use it to go away for a weekend with my fiance. I have been dying to go to Newport, RI to see all the mansions decorated for the holidays. We are on a very strict budget (saving for a house, a wedding and paying off debt) so we rarely spend any money on doing date night/romantic weekends. Then the practical in me would say I would spend it on the hotel for the two nights of our destination wedding in Santa Fe so I wouldn’t have to save money for that part.

Its a constant struggle between what I want to do and what I know if good for us financially.

I’d use it for the Oregon wedding my husband and I are attending on January 1st. My best friend is getting married this Saturday… and I will have spent a total of $900 on her special day (and bridal shower day, as I flew up there to be there seeing as I was asked to plan it!). I debated a LOT on whether on not to go, but I decided that even though I’d be just about DEBT-FREE if I’d skipped all this, I’m making a life-long investment in this once-in-a-lifetime occasion. :)

So, we’ve made the same decision about my husband’s cousin’s wedding. Even though they are 18-year-olds, we’re going! (LOL, after all… I was married “young” at 22 3/4!)

One of my best friends from my high school group lives in San Diego now and I’ve been wanting to visit, but the expense! Plus one of our other friends just got married and we never go to celebrate all together–girls weekend on the west coast, definitely!

If I were to get 2 free nights at The Hyatt, (mind u that i am in the Caribbean) I’d spend it at a weekend in Germany. The Hyatt Regency in Dusseldorf to be exact. The reason why is because I’m going to Europe for Christmas (away from my parents) to visit my sister. I would like to take her so she could get a weekend to relax due to the fact that she had a very rough year with sickness and things. And we saw her struggling through it and yet she kept her head high, and pushed through it all. So I would like this chance to pamper her at least for a weekend (if the opportunity is given to me that is)..

I would use my two free nights at any Hyatt in the Central Florida area (preferably near a beach) so that the hubby and I could spend a weekend sleeping, doing it, and eating meals we don’t have to cook or clean up after.
