I dig this…but what happens if you overdraw your account?
Well rats. I had a perfectly good “to do” list for today, then read your post. THEN, got this in my quote of the day, from Katherine Hepburn: “Wouldn’t it be great if people could get to live suddenly as often as they die suddenly?” Somehow, “clean out the fridge” isn’t cutting it any more.
Yeah, not a perfect analogy when it comes to the money part (how could you spend $86,000 a day anyways? I’d feel pretty dirty.) but I like the overall message with time. We only have a finite amount! Gotta do our best to soak it in and appreciate what we’re given :)
I was just thinking how much I’d rather be shoveling chicken poop than sitting at work earning money! I was shoveling chicken poop when this thought bubbled up :)
That’s definitely a great reminder; I often get so busy with stuff that I don’t think about the ‘big picture’.
Printed that quote and hung it above my monitor at work, just to remind me to work harder so I can enjoy my non-work time (I am commissioned btw).
