What’s worse than watching your friends spend money on crap they don’t need? I’ll tell you... It’s hearing them afterwards try to convince you why their purchases were actually good choices! My buddy recently bought a brand new Audi A4. Very sleek and sexy car. And while I’m really stoked for him and want him to enjoy the finer things in life, his reasons for the purchase

How to Find Estate Sale Deals (From a Beverly Hills Bargain-Hunter!)
I can’t wait for this COVID thing to be all over ... when everyone's healthy and safe, I can resume one of my guilty pleasures -- my Beverly Hills "shopping sprees!" I’m not talking about the name-brand stores on Rodeo Drive that sell $1,800 sunglasses or $12,000 handbags ... The bargains I’m searching for lie within the suburb’s majestic mansions -- at private garage sales
The 100-Day Financial Goal Journal!
Morning, friends!!! Welcome back to everyone who wasn't scared away from yesterday's post! ;) One of my favorite Canadian bloggers just released an AWESOME new money journal out there, and wanted to make sure y'all were aware of it as it looks pretty good! And unlike other typical $$$ journals, this one helps you to *hone into* more specific goals to shoot for, and then
Some awesome things I learned recently
Here are a few things I learned lately that might excite your wallet :) Lemme know if you try any of them - especially #2! It won't be weird at all if I stare at you while you sleep, right?! ***** #1. PATCHING THINGS UP IS BECOMING TRENDY AGAIN! It's being dubbed "visible mending", and been taken up by those protesting "fast fashion" and disposable culture, as well as
Aspiring Goal to Shoot For: Spending More on *Donations* Than *Wants*
Morning! Before we get started on this, just have to say I really enjoyed all your feedback the other day on our Fortnite post. And many of you brought up an excellent point on it that I completely missed: Gaming is a great way to spend *time* with friends and others! And it's not unlike other ways we spend money to hang out with each other either, such as meeting over
Have you ever spent money INSIDE a video game?
Just caught this survey about Fortnite spending and I'm blown away... Didn't even know this was a thing, did you?! Per LendEdu: 77% of respondents have spent money on Fortnite in-game purchases, which was up from 69% in 2018. The average amount spent was $102.42, which was an increase of 21% from 2018's figure of $84.67. In 2020, 35% of Fortnite spenders were
The ol’ “Picture in The Wallet” Trick
I don't know who made this, but they're my favorite person of the month: Haha... So ridiculous and genius at the same time! :) And it probably WORKS!! Because it gets you to STOP and think for a second before whipping out that card and spending away out of habit vs intention. Others might prefer pictures of beaches or dream homes/careers to remind them to keep
Are you cool with stores going cashless?!
Morning! Lots of talk lately about stores going completely cashless, and wondering where you stand on this? Are you a big cash and coin lover like me, or do you say good riddance to it all?! Here are some of the major pros and cons that are making businesses think twice: Pros to abolishing cash: It's more convenient for everyone It's faster to process
Something ALL stores should do!
Guys!! Just found out that my favorite local bookstore will accept ANY gift card from ANY place in lieu of cash, so long as it's active and they can verify how much is on it! How incredible is that?? I even asked if they'd take my 5 year old Red Lobster card that I'll never ever (ever!) use, and they said yup! Hand it on over! 🤣🤣🤣 I can't
When I tried to be an adult and it backfired…
Was talking to my sister about how I still rock my cracked phone and broken laptop every day, and she hit me back with some of the stuff she hasn't gotten around to replacing either. Like: underwear (most of hers has holes!) pillowcases (they're all fraying) broken mugs... (she re-uses them for paintbrush holders, which is actually pretty clever!) I find that
